With the end of the year being just around the corner, it could not possibly be a better time to get out and enjoy a nice family vacation, with an abundance of amazing memories you will cherish forever. GOOD vacations happen often, but GREAT ones are hard to come by. So how do you turn that good vacation into a great one? IT’S EASY!
PASSPORT TO … PARIS?
Canada is a beautiful country, there’s no doubt about that! However, the world has much to offer. There are so many beautiful cultures out there for your family to learn about and experience. So if your budget allows, GO ABROAD and get your passport stamped!
REAP THE REWARDS:
Do you collect any kind of reward points system? Do you have any kind of memberships? Well, make sure that wherever you go, you remember to ask. More often than not, you’ll be able to benefit and enjoy exclusive prices and upgrades because of it.
No matter how much planning you do for your vacation, you have to always be prepared for the unexpected: your plane is late, the hotel room is not ready, someone gets ill, etc. Make sure you purchase an appropriate travel insurance package that will have you covered if you need it.
Allow your kids to get involved and suggest activities that they would like to do and see, in order to make your travels a complete success. After all, your idea of fun may not be the same as theirs. When everyone is onboard, the ship sails much smoother!
MAP IT OUT:
You certainly don’t need to have a complete itinerary planned out, but it’s a good idea to know beforehand where you will be and what you will be doing each day. Seek the advice of a travel professional so you can jam pack the best of the best into your days.
When visiting popular tourist areas, go left. LITERALLY! Most people enter museums or national parks and head to the pathway on the right. But I say lose the worst of the crowds and head in the opposite direction for a more private and secluded experience with your family.
STOP AND GO:
It’s easy to be constantly on-the-go on any vacation, but it’s more important to include some downtime with your family to relax and unwind. After all, isn’t that the whole point of taking a vacation in the first place?
Wherever the world decides to take you, ensure that you and your family have had any necessary medical shots and that you bring a travel first aid, just in case you need to reach into it. Pack clothing items wisely in the event of all kinds of unexpected weather systems, along with important medications and repellants.
